Lewisham Music is delighted to announce a new phase of bursary support for young people and families in Lewisham.
In 2020 Young Sounds UK (formerly Awards for Young Musicians) welcomed Lewisham Music as London’s first ever Music Education Hub to benefit from their award-winning ‘Connect’ bursary programme, and we are delighted to announce that this partnership has been extended for another three years.
Connect is designed to help young musicians from low income families as soon as sparks of musical potential start flying. We will support their instrumental learning far beyond school whole class music lessons so they can keep making music and developing their creativity for as long as possible.

Layla brings extensive local music knowledge as well as wide links throughout London and across the country, and will be here to connect young musicians with the right opportunities, support and information that’s available right here in Lewisham, and beyond.
