The Jazz Hang is a series of regular free-to-access sessions of informal and practical jazz learning for ages 11-16.
Delivered in partnership with Trinity Laban, Tomorrow’s Warriors and Lewisham Music – The Jazz Hang provides supported pathways for the next generation of emerging jazz artists with award-winning music leaders in a weekly inspirational workshop and development programme.
Aimed at 11-16 year old musicians from a variety of diverse backgrounds who are interested in learning more about Jazz, The Jazz Hang offers weekly FREE 2-hour sessions with expert music educators and jazz assistants, developing jazz skills and technique, and exciting repertoire towards shared performance. You’ll also get industry exposure to progression routes and young artist opportunities with Tomorrow’s Warriors, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, and beyond.
The London Jazz Scene is on fire, with artists (and Trinity Laban and Tomorrow’s Warrior’s alumni) like Mercury Prize-winners Ezra Collective, Nubya Garcia and Moses Boyd tearing it up at festivals and on TV, and performing around the world.
