Why?
We believe poetry is for everyone and everyone can write poetry. Engaging with and writing poetry can help young people express themselves in new ways, by offering a different way of writing about themselves and their experiences.
Poetry allows us to experiment with language, embracing the strange, the unruly, and the uncertain. Through this exploration, we can better understand ourselves, gain a greater sense of our own agency, and grow confidence in creativity.
About Resonance Poetry Collective
Resonance is a poetry collective based in south east London. We’re committed to creating community and championing access to the arts for underrepresented groups.
To do this we host free monthly open mic poetry nights and workshops, publish work from emerging writers, and partner with local charities and community groups to bring poetry to places it isn’t usually found.
It’s time to let the words flow!
