Join us for FREE creative mentoring sessions with industry professionals Josette Joseph and Shumba Maasai.
If you’re aged 18-30 and live in Lewisham then come and join our informal mentoring sessions which will cover three key areas: current situation, dreams/goals, and next steps, with the mentor and mentee agreeing on a set of goals to work on during their sessions.
Josette is a sound engineer and music producer, and Shumba is a songwriter and artist who runs Plus Trbe Productions, as well as having great knowledge of sync and library music, so the sessions will be perfect for creatives in these areas, but they are open to mentoring all types of creatives, just get in touch.

Meet the mentors
Josette Joseph
Josette is a self-taught record producer and sound engineer based in South London, currently working in-house at XL Recordings. With experience at Strongroom and other respected studios, they have collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Lex Amor, Ego Ella May, Swindle, Brother Portrait, and Emmavie. Passionate about sound and detail, Josette continuously learns and evolves with each new project.
Shumba Maasai
Shumba Maasai (born in Harare, Zimbabwe) is a solo performer, producer, and founder of Ancestral Futures and Plus Trbe Recordings. Shumba brings with him the rich expertise gained from founding Plus TRBE Recordings—a boutique music production company dedicated to championing black-origin music in the expansive world of production and music for film and TV. Shumba is passionate about helping young talent embark on their journey in to the world of music production for music and film whilst sharing his invaluable experiences from his time in the music industry.
