It’s time we pointed the spotlight at one of the young creatives from our community programme. Meet Aiden.

18-year-old guitarist, Aiden joined us as part of the Young Sounds Connect Bursary Programme 5 years ago. On top of his weekly guitar lessons at The Fellowship, he is ever-present at projects like Fellowship Music Collective, Rooftop Sessions, and our weekly music production workshops – WeProduce, all of which has helped shape his creativity and identity.

With no formal music background, Aiden has carved out his own sound by taking inspiration from family, friends, and going to loads of gigs. Alongside performing in various bands, Aiden currently studies music, works on music production, live sound, mixing, mastering, and even game sound design, and plans to continue studying music at Uni with an aim to get into live music production, behind the scenes – in his own words – “there are a lot of people I’ve met who are also involved in that and they just seem to be really enjoying their life”!

We chatted to Aiden to find out a bit more about his background in music, what music means to him and how it has impacted his life, and where he’d like music to take him in the future.

Music helps you understand your emotions better!
