Radio Lewisham is a diverse youth-led radio station giving a platform for all young people in the borough to share their views and creativity.

What we’re looking for
We are on the hunt for music lovers, experts and obsessives of all genres, living in the area. We’d also love to work with any local musicians, promotors or other industry professionals.
As part of the music team, you will…
Receive training and support from professional music broadcasters.
Curate the monthly Radio Lewisham playlist.
Build relationships with artists and record labels.
Listen to track submissions from artists and labels.
Co-ordinate and produce live sessions.
Time commitment
This is a volunteer role so there is no obligatory time commitment. However, you will ideally be able to attend one team meeting per month.

Get radio ready with Radio Lewisham’s brand-new Radio Training sessions where you’ll have the chance to work with industry professionals from across the radio sector. Our free programme of radio training will provide you with a crash course in radio production, radio presenting and creating on-air content, and editing shows. This is a unique opportunity for young creatives aged 11-18, so come and take to the airwaves and develop your broadcasting skills.
We’re always looking for new shows! If you’re aged 11-30 interested in doing your own show then send us your ideas and we'll take it from there.
Young people and DJs can use the platform to share their pre-recorded music/mixes/shows.
Schools and colleges can create a show with their young people and/or share pre-recorded music, poetry, podcasts. Just send us some details and we'll take it from there.

As part of the music team, you will receive training and support from professional music broadcasters, curate the monthly Radio Lewisham playlist, build relationships with artists and record labels, listen to track submissions from artists and labels, and co-ordinate and produce live sessions.

The Elizabeth Legacy Fund was established by Sir Ian Mills, a distinguished resident of Lewisham, in memory of his wife Elizabeth, with the overall objective of supporting young people in need, the principal focus being on those in Lewisham.
