Fellowship Music Collective returned to provide young creatives with a vital space to express themselves and mash up influences.
Our ground-breaking cross-genre music project, Fellowship Music Collective returned last month in partnership with ArtsTrain, bringing together instrumentalists, composers, rappers, and singers to mix up their musical influences and backgrounds, collaborate, and create fresh music!
Designed for those confident with their instrument and passionate about songwriting and live performance, the Collective offered a rare opportunity to dive deep into the world of original music-making.

Over 3 days the creativity ebbed and flowed throughout The Fellowship, and with jaw-dropping outcomes as the young musicians broke off into groups, mashed together ideas, exchanged feedback, honed their skills, and refined their tracks in rehearsals, then performed their creations and some covers in front of a live audience of screaming friends and family! The vibes were immaculate.
“I loved working collaboratively with other creatives and incorporating each other’s writing styles into our music!”

The project was expertly guided by singer/songwriter Tahn Solo, multi-instrumentalist Noel Chambers, lyricist Y.A Poet, and producer/DJ Intalekt whose mentorship helped participants refine their songwriting, enhance their stage presence, and experiment with new musical ideas.
Each day was thoughtfully structured for maximum impact: from musical speed networking and band formation, to intensive songwriting and performance workshops, to the final showcase-every moment was about pushing creative boundaries and building confidence.
“I really enjoyed learning new elements of music (instruments/ bassline) and how to collab!”

Feedback from both participants and facilitators highlighted the transformative power of the project. Young musicians spoke of being challenged to step outside their comfort zones, collaborate with peers from different backgrounds, and discover new approaches to music-making. Parents/carers and facilitators alike praised the project for nurturing not just musical skills, but also personal growth, resilience, and community spirit.

” It was such an awesome opportunity. To work and play with such a variety of young people, all with different skills!! It was just wonderful.”
Projects like Fellowship Music Collective don’t just build skills—they build communities. They offer young people a vital space to express themselves, take creative risks, and connect with others who share their passion. That’s why opportunities like this are more important than ever.
BIGGEST OF SHOUT OUTS to all the young creatives – simply sublime – and all the great music leaders who expertly guided and creatively inspired them on the project – Tahn Solo, Noel Chambers, Y.A Poet, and Josh Oladipo, and of course our gnarly Community Programme Producer, Afiya who seamlessly brought it all together! What an EPIC team!
