Big news for South East London!

Lewisham Music has teamed up with Bexley Music (part of London South East Academies Trust), Bromley Youth Music Trust, Royal Greenwich Music Service, Lambeth Music Service, and Southwark Music to form South East London Music Hub. This week it has been announced that from September 2024, South East London Music Hub will become the new Hub lead organisation for the area. These 6 organisations – who are the current Hub lead organisations in their borough – will work with a wide range of other local and national partner organisations to ensure that children and young people across South East London can continue to access high quality musical opportunities.

The development of this strategic partnership is part of an investment programme by the Department for Education, managed by Arts Council England. This will build on the extensive work existing Music Hubs have undertaken since 2011. South East London Music Hub will become one of 43 new Hub Lead organisations who will be delivering and supporting music education in regions across England, helping to realise the ambitions of the National Plan for Music Education.
