Join International Slam Champion, Performance Poet, Spoken Word Artist and Writer, Yasmin Ali (AKA ‘Y.A Poet’) and professional music producer Intalekt. Gain access to our state-of-the-art recording studio and an opportunity to collaborate with other young musicians and artists.
Y.A Poet will be on hand to guide you through the ins and outs of lyric writing. Sharpen your lyric writing skills and discover the techniques that have helped Yasmin become one of the most sought-after poets around. Learn how to generate better ideas, find the right words to express those ideas, and organise rhythms and rhymes into compelling verses. Concoct more potent lyrics by getting to know the elements of structure and the process of building great lyrical ideas into great songs.
Intalekt will be there to guide you through the recording process, helping you make the most out of your music. Jump on new opportunities to record your music in a professional studio environment and learn new recording skills and techniques. Intalekt will also show the writers various effects and mixing techniques that the writers can apply when working in different studios and spaces.
These sessions are perfect for 13-19 year old budding singers, songwriters, rappers, poets and spoken word artists who’d like to explore ideas more freely and structure lyrics more effectively.
